Swiss Private Banking – FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

20. To open a Swiss Private Bank Account, should I go to Switzerland?

Not necessarily.  However, we do neither offer nor recommend online application.  In online applications, there is no effective way to verify the existence of the bank.  To avoid the scams offering accounts with banks not really existing, we strongly recommend that every customer should meet the banker.  Good banks require their prospects to meet their banker before opening an account.  If your amount is large enough, it may be possible that the banker himself/herself will come to see you at your place.  If your amount is not so large, you may be requested to see the banker at any branch or representative office of the bank.  At present, you can see the bankers in Switzerland, England, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Luxembourg, Monaco, Guernsey, Jersey, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Argentina or the United States of America, etc.
